| Personal History | T'Raya was born in the city of Vulcana Regar on the coast of the Voroth Sea. Her mother, T'Shara, was captain of the cruise ship Riga where T'Raya served as Captain's Yeoman when not engaged in her school studies. She became quite adept at putting together itineraries, sorting through ship division and department reports and becoming the go to girl for organizing special events during the tourist cruises on the ship. T'Raya spent many an evening with her telescope and books on astronomy in an endeavor to learn about the stars in the Vulcan sky. Despite her fondness for working as a yeoman on sea liner, her true calling was to visit the planets of the stars she looked at every night. She applied several times to the Vulcan Exploratory Group, but her lack of a formal education through traditional Vulcan educational institutions hindered her. She eventually enlisted in Starfleet after a cruise where a recruiter and his family were passengers during vacation. T'Raya left for Earth on her 17th birthday and arrived a week later to the Starfleet Enlisted Initial Training School in Seattle, Washington. Yeoman A School followed Boot Camp and then a six month planet side starship service school to teach her about duty responsibilities and watch keeping aboard a starship. Her practical training and certifications for starship duty was aboard the Starfleet Academy Training vessel USS Charles Tucker III where she not only excelled, but became the top scoring enlisted trainee for the cruise. T'Raya's first permanent duty assignment was as a general yeoman aboard the USS Constitution in the Administration Division. She generally constructed summary reports from the ship's manpower availability reports, posted watch bills and duty schedules and carried out various other duties as assigned by the Division and Department leaders. She was a diligent working individual and received glowing efficiency reports during her tenure aboard the ship. |
